Blog Post 6

So I finished my introduction and have started to work on the body paragraphs of my poster. I'm just waiting to hear from Professor Geis to see if I can create an interactive presentation of my maps via ArcGIS online. I have a lot of maps I want to include, so he suggested that avenue. He just has to check and make sure it's O.K., because all of the students in the past have made posters. If I can create an online presentation, then I can keep my basemap and click through my presentation to bring up the different layers. While the different layers pop up, the text corresponding to the layers would pop up too. This way, I can present everything I want to without running out of space on my poster. Another benefit from this is that I can use this as a starting point to begin my online presence with GIS.
